Becoming a CapitalCare Practice
We believe that the independent physician practice is the most effective and efficient manner of ambulatory care delivery. While our physicians have staff privileges at hospitals, dialysis and rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes in the communities we serve, we are not formally affiliated with or owned by any of these organizations.
The majority of our physicians are also owners of CapitalCare. Our associate (employed) physicians are encouraged to become owners and to participate in decisions guiding the governance of the group as well as our strategic goals and objectives.
Our business model is attractive to those who find the cost of billing, information systems, regulatory compliance, practice coordination and other expenses to be overwhelming for a small practice. It is also appealing to larger practices that prefer to maintain their independence rather than join a hospital-based system.
Some of the many reasons why physicians join our growing multi-specialty group are found in our approach to clinical practice and practice management. While some practices may prefer not to affiliate, we are looking to provide management services organization (MSO) to practices outside the group in the near future.
